Fan960 Calgary Flames Radio on your iPhone & iPod Touch
September 18th, 2009
With the 2009-2010 NHL season just around the corner, I thought I’d post a tip for all of you Calgary Flames fans out there who wish to listen to the Fan960 on their iPhones or iPod Touch.
- Download and install FStream from the iTunes Application store on to your touch screen device of choice (iPhone/iPod Touch) – http://itunes.com/app/FStream
- Once the app is installed, launch FStream and add the following address to your FStream “Favorites” – mms://a543.l8090152405.c80901.n.lm.akamaistream.net/D/543/80901/v0001/reflector:52405
You do not need to fill in the “Format” or “Bitrate” fields as they are populated automatically. That’s it! Now you can enjoy listening to Peter Maher blurt out “Yah Baby!” for just about every play.

I copy and pasted this link but it didn’t work – any suggestions?

Hey there! I’ve just updated the post with a picture of my settings. I realize that the URL is too long to see in its entirety, but I just successfully tested the address with FStream and Winamp.
Sometimes copying and pasting an address that is too long for one line (as in this post for example) breaks the address at the end of the line. Be sure that you’re getting everything after the “/80901″. If the iPod Touch or iPhone you’re using doesn’t copy everything, just manually type it in. I know it’s a pain, but I know that the address is correct. Hope that helps! Let me know.
Thanks.

Ahhhh yes, it now works, I noticed that it put a space in the line that shouldn’t have been there. Thanks, works great!

Is this still working for others? Seems to have stopped working

Just tried it from scratch and it’s still working for me (listening to streaming Jim Rome at the moment). Just be sure to copy and paste the entire 2-line mms URL.
